Commemorative Cross

Recently, we received a request to create a commemorative piece that turned out so well, we thought we'd share.



NOMA

This month our artisans are hard at work, restoring several pieces for the New Orleans Museum of Art. Here's a look at some of the frames we've been commissioned to restore:

This handcarved gilded chair and table by Mexican artist, Pedro Friedeberg, underwent a cleaning of the entire surface, complete with stabilization of the existing gold leaf and reclaying and spot gilding with 22 Kt. gold leaf.

This mid 19th century French chandelier underwent an entire resculpt of its arms and iris flower detailing. Each blade of grass was also resculpted with brass and recast with new brass and assembled back into the arms, regilded with 22Kt. gold leaf, and entirely rewired for electrical use.
